This method is the easiest one. If you click on a download link in Internet Explorer or in another browser IDM will take over and accelerate this download, but if you want to download a file with another extension for ex:
ZIP files you have to do this steps:
- First open Internet Download Manager
- Then open IDM and go to Downloads → Settings
- Then go to Files types
- And add the extension of the file you want to download (ex: ZIP)
- Then click OK
- Finally download from any website any file you want even it has a different extension
